Shito, also known as Ghana black pepper sauce, is a rich, spicy blend made from dried fish, shrimp, ginger, onions, pepper, and oil—slow-cooked until deep, dark, and flavorful. Whether you like it very hot or mildly spicy, this sauce brings fire and taste to every bite!
Perfect with rice, waakye, kenkey, yam, banku, or even bread and eggs. Many Ghanaians keep a jar in their fridge because once you start using shito, you go dey add am to everything!
